Conflict Management Coaching

Conflict is a fact of life. In many organisations chronic conflict leads to low morale, more absenteeism and a resultant loss of productivity. Often conflict starts in a small way with a difference of opinion. Handled in the right way, differences have been shown time and time again to be one of an organisation's most valuable and positive assets.

Fortunately, like learning to swim or drive a car, conflict management skills can be learned. You may not end up a Kissinger but you will have the competence and confidence you need to make informed decisions in the workplace. With the right set of skills, unwarranted conflict can be prevented, leaving people with more energy to address genuine differences that can lead to expansion and growth.

Our Conflict Management Coaching program can be customized to individuals and groups. The first step is the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI). Using the SDI as the starting point, we jointly explore how you prefer to relate to other people and how you handle situations when things are not going well.

The next step, for those who want to understand the dynamics of conflict in a deeper way is a series of four personalized individual sessions in which you are coached to leverage your strengths, develop communication skills to deflect unnecessary conflict and learn ways to assist others in resolving conflict.

The Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI)

The Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) is a psychological profiling instrument that offers insight into individual motivations: when things are going well and when conflict is experienced.
